Kindergarten is a part-time educational program for children in the year before Prep (the first year of school in Queensland). At kindergarten, children make friends, explore new environments and have fun learning through meaningful, inclusive experiences and interactions that support their early learning.

Our school delivers a State Delivered Kindergarten (SDK) program. SDK programs ensure all children have access to a kindergarten program in the year before school, no matter where they live.

To participate in our school’s free kindy program, your child must turn 4 by 30 June in the year they attend. If your child is eligible, contact our school to commence the registration process.

Queensland schools implement all 8 learning areas of the Australian Curriculum in Prep to Year 10. The Australian Curriculum consists of 8 learning areas, 7 general capabilities and 3 cross-curriculum priorities.

In delivering the curriculum, all aspects of the achievement standard for each learning area and/or subject provided in a year and/or band are to be covered. The 8 learning areas include English, mathematics, science, humanities and social sciences, health and physical education, technologies, the arts and languages.

A focus on age and learner appropriate curriculum and pedagogical practices support students' wellbeing and transitions.
